Cam Bednar,

DPT, CSCS

Throwing Program Director

Cam Bednar grew up in the Kansas City Metro and is a former client and intern in the KCSC fam. He played collegiate baseball at the JUCO and NCAA DII level. Cam is very familiar with the development process as he was able to go from a low 80’s thrower to topping out at 95mph over the course of his collegiate career. Through that process he gained an appreciation for all aspects of becoming a complete pitcher including the integration of strength & conditioning, biomechanical adjustments, and mental fortitude.

When it comes to pitching philosophy, Cam believes in optimizing the pitching delivery on an individual basis by taking a multifactorial approach to help athletes realize their full potential mentally, physically, and in pitching performance.

Cam recently graduated from Rockhurst University with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy. He has a unique role as the Pitching Director, Physical Therapist, and Strength Coach. This unique background gives him the ability to integrate clinical approaches, S&C, and biomechanical principles into developing successful throwers and athletes.

Peyton Carson

Throwing Coordinator Individual Instruction

From Topeka, Kansas, Peyton was a left-handed pitcher at Shawnee Heights High School where he was awarded the Gatorade Player of the Year in 2017-18. He then played at Missouri State and Emporia State.

Peyton developed a passion for pitching development as a longtime client at KCSC, and a hip labral surgery in the middle of his college career naturally created an opportunity to learn more about the rehab process.

Peyton’s objectives as a pitching coach include helping athletes grow into well-rounded pitchers in the aspects of physical, skill specific, and mental abilities required to play at the next level.

Peyton’s core message to  athletes, “This game brings many highs and lows. Always keep your head up and let’s go to work!”
